I had to wait till today for this one. Yesterday was my birthday and was spent at Lions Gate Hospital and in various malls around the north shore. My cousin, Sherrie, who is also my life long friend, was having major surgery and was told there was a good chance that it could go wrong but since she would just fade away if she didn't have it, she decided to go for it anyway. So, to make a long story short, her daughter and I stayed in a hotel Monday night, went to the hospital at 8am and then spend a long day keeping busy till the surgeon called and said everything went well...then waited to see her for 5 or 6 more hours before getting home at almost 10 pm. A long, stressful day that ended happily.I had told her to remember, if she saw that bright light to tell whoever was coming for her to tell them, sorry she couldn't go yet cause it was her cousin's birthday and she was the gift!! Well, she didn't see the light so that was good and I am very happy for the gift! Here we are, I'm the squinty one on the left!
