Still waiting for my computer

So in the meantime, I've decided I should get busy scrapping or cleaning up my office space... I think I just might paint but later! I've made this layout using Little Yellow Bicycle, Deja Views Vita Bella papers (thanks Colleen for the gift!) and also some chipboard pieces. In the first one I used some Making Memories clear flowers that I had that I have finally decided to get using!

So I tried to turn on my computer

AND IT'S DEAD!!! So I am on a laptop for now and am hoping when I go downstairs that miraculously my computer will start...I think it is way under warranty and can only think it is a hardrive failure cause I am too anal to let anyone else use it so know there has been nothing downloaded or installed...nada, nil, nothing and I have really good antivirus protection....booo hooo... I just hate this. So here is to keeping my fingers crossed and I am hoping... even praying that it works, it's pretty new...damn Vista!

I'm All For Having Fun...

So... today I had to go to the dentist to get some of my front teeth ready for crowns to hold up a bridge so I would have a tooth where there is a space... a big one! While we were humming and hawing about what color should be used for the temporary crowns...my dentist said the fateful words...we should put in a red one!! So... here is my new tooth...ha ha ha... he couldn't believe it when I said, "Go for it!"

Found My Charger

Well...so I actually didn't find it...after cleaning this whole place and searching everywhere all afternoon, Bruce came home from work tonight and took a quick look and found it in 10 minutes...oh I hate it when that happens but am happy to have it back! Here's what we've been doing during spring break:

Here Desi is forming some 'eggs' after coloring and flavoring the fondant... then we had to let them dry for 6 hours..which turned into at least 24!

The girls are off visiting with Kate so I dipped each one then dribbled some lines on the top... now if I could just not eat any!!

Need my charger

Oh... I have some good pics of the kids at the fair... if I could only find my battery charger that I loaned to one of them so I could charge my battery to download them!! It's somewhere in the house...but my office/scrap room is now tidy and it's not hiding in here! I just knew I would end up having to do a clean up instead of having a scrappy day while the girls are away!

I almost forgot the wearing of the green... in fact, I wore red but hey, we can't all wear green! Anyway, I found a sheet of Rusty Pickle 'The Emerald Rose' and thought it was the perfect time to scrap it... I added a chipboard circle - holes and all - and painted it with Making Memories 'manila', then layered on some flowers; finally using some Making Memories clear flowers that I had sitting here waiting to be used...

This is my friend Glady and her daughter...aren't they sweet!?!

Here's the close up... I just realized the clear flowers are self adhesive!! (cause I finally read the package LOL)

March is just moving along

I can't believe it's almost the middle of March already...wow... spring is somewhere around the corner I hope! It's still a little too cold to go out and mess about the yard but the sunshine has me very tempted to get out the big clippers and start in on the major trimming that needs to be done. It seems like just a week or so ago we were in Powell River visiting my brother and his family. Here we are... standing in the cold - posing for our once a year or so photo together!
We don't talk often enough...or see each other often enough...sad how that happens as we get busy with our lives.

Easter Is Coming!

It's time to get working on a layout...I've been making too many mini albums and small projects. This layout uses Basic Grey's 'sugared' papers, delightful and beauty; bazzill cardstock; making memories flowers and some pink crystals. The alphabet stickers are from Basic Grey's 'Infuse' collection and just seemed to work with this paper! I used my Quikutz for the die cuts (if anyone wants the die cuts, just let me know... we can work something out!
Here's a close up - I matted the alpha stickers (mainly cause I didn't want to mess up my layout by sticking them right on!) - the cardstock makes them stand out better.

I used a piece of felt for the bunny tails but I'll bet a make-up puff would look good too.

So I've Decided...

That I really need to 'punish' myself in order to get on track! I am a junk food junkie and need to stop so I thought... hmm how can I make sure I'm going to be good; and the light bulb went off! I am going to take photos of all the things I eat... good and bad... so I can actually see what is going into my mouth! Today started off badly... no breakfast... so I made myself a big yummy salad for late lunch (cause dinner will be really late tonight!).

Doesn't it look good for me? I took a close up too so I could keep in mind that I am eating things really good for me! (that white stuff is chicken!)

Now...when I go to my doctor for the physical I won't feel so BAD! Funny how an appointment can do that to a person, eh girls?!

So... today I picked up Amber and we wandered around a bit... then I took her to the spit where there is usually so much wind you can hardly stand it...there was none...zero...no wind at all!! Here is a photo looking back at Squamish. I love this area for taking photos. I really needed to get out...and see something beautiful and peaceful!
