More Family Tree

So I've decided to double my family tree albums so my kids will each get one... here is a layout I've just finished:
I used a sketch from Pagemaps, a great place for inspiration! This is more My Minds Eye paper with Basic Grey (my favorite paper) rub ons and a few vintage looking brads. I sanded the edges of the papers and inked them then curled a couple of corners a little.

Digi Scrapping

I've finally started to do a little bit with my photo program... boy does it ever take a long time!! I had to do a challenge at the Sisterhood Of Scrap using an image that was sent to me and since I don't have a color printer I opted out for a digital layout. It was fun and I like the way it turned out:

I can't remember where I got the digi paper or flower from but I am thankful for them!

Memories of Mum and Dad

Like I may have said earlier, I am in the process of scrapbooking my family tree... I had scanned and played with a photo of my Mum and Dad when I made a photo book online

so I used that photo for this layout.... it's pretty different because the white border around the original (which doesn't show up here)was just too bright for this paper and looked too new! Anyway, here is the layout:

I love this paper line!

Family Tree

Well... I finally 'bit the bullet' and signed up for Ancestry.com for 3 months so I can get back into my family tree and get some information going again. I am going to get the family tree scrapbooked on my mother's side underway this year and hopefully get it finished! I did do a layout pretaining to my Dad's side:
I love this paper line from My Mind's Eye called "Life Stories" so bought two huge packages of it and used it on a previous post...

Cards!

I must be obsessive... ever since I was told how to make an easel card, I can't stop making them... they look so neat... now I'm thinking maybe instead of a card front I will put some photos there and make a photo card!
