Thank You Basic Grey

For the awesome little set of files you sell... I have used them so much that I bought another set... 'just in case'! I can't imagine trying to sand anything like this without these files.

And this is what I used it on:

Crop For Kids

Wow... what a fun weekend ... we are already booked at the hotel for next year... October 1,2 & 3!! The Saturday tropical costume night was great... there were so many fun groups and we had some good laughs... lots of prizes and just a great time. I will be posting some photos as soon as I find my camera in amongst all my unpacked stuff! And yes, I actually got something done!

Here are some photos:

Not sure what she is but it's the spirit of the night that counts!
ps.... I didn't forget anything but that didn't stop me from buying more... ha ha ha!

Packing For The Crop...

I have made list after list and made piles of what I think I might work on... just like every other crop where I HAVE FORGOTTEN MAIN ITEMS!! So, I am challenging myself this time to remember everything I will need.
The first time it was baby wipes to clean stamps, then it was spare cutter blades.. then it was my tweezers and close up glasses... now I am pretty sure I will remember them because I was almost blind by the time I got home but there is still that nagging little thought that WHAT WILL IT BE THIS TIME!?

Anyone else have this problem? I am going to make myself a master list this time and take a copy of it with me so I can update it right away if I find I am missing something!

It's so hard to pack up for a whole weekend crop... first of all I need all my scrapping things... my wild pj's for the tropical crop night (and my costume things) and the junk food and munchies for the hotel room... oh... and maybe a little vodka for 'relaxing' a little!

It's almost crop time!!

I am so looking forward to the Crop For Kids on the weekend of the 23rd.. fun and laughter and hopefully I'll actually get some scrapping done! I am hoping to work on a mini album of Kate's trip to Italy... ALL I NEED ARE SOME PICTURES... KATE! (a month in Italy... lucky girl!) I have most of the paper and the embellishments pulled together... so ALL I NEED ARE PHOTOS... KATE!! (I hope she gets the hint... ha ha ha!) Meanwhile I am working on a journal for a journal swap at The Sisterhood of Scrap... and hoping Deanne will like it! We had lots of fun at the online crop they held... I love their site... no pressure, just fun and good people.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, looks like fall is coming in quickly... the leaves have really turned in the past week. I've been busy with online crops, painting a bedroom, running back and forth to Vancouver due to Bruce having surgery... (all done and okay now) and now have 5 year old Maria in my scrap room with me... so you know who's not getting any scrapping done!!

Here's a little snack jar I made out of an old pill bottle:

And I have to confess... I am a messy scrapper... I took this photo when I was working on some of the previous items I've posted... I wonder if I'm the only one who starts out with the whole table to work on and then ends up with only a little space part way through!

It's Time For a Post!

What a hectic week... running back and forth to Vancouver getting ready for Bruce's surgery Thursday morning... and up at the crack of dawn (anyone who knows me, knows I am NOT a morning person unless I'm up all night!), to drive to the hospital and get him checked in and taken away. The surgery was fairly quick and he was in a ward and awake by 2:00 pm and asking for his ipod! After a quick visit his mother and I headed home with all our shopping ( a girl's gotta keep busy!) exhausted but happy everything went well.

I did manage to do a few layouts during the week, here's the latest... I love this photo!
