Don't you sometimes wonder about the things you keep... I do...like this old matchstick holder... it was on the wall for as long as I can remember, in my Dad's workshop in the basement and now sits in my kitchen on the windowsill.

Then there's this little gem... I can remember my mother grinding leftover roast beef into something... and making her own hamburger and relishes.

I love my chicken collection... these are all made with gourds.

and this one is just silly ... I love it!

No... Martha doesn't live here but I like to think she'd pop in!

I dabbled with ceramics awhile... and I like the weird look this guy has on his face!
I made this rooster... it took a long time but was so worth it!
I looks like a paper bag... but is made of clay!! Don't you love it?!
One of my favorite flowers...(I have a tatoo like this)
This cup and saucer was given to me the day I was christened... it was a special cup for hot chocolate nights when I was a little kid.
This huge piece of barnacle came from the Queen Charlottes... I was lucky to get it at a farmers market.
Did I mention that I love things made of metal!!? I love the curves and flow of this cross.
And last but not least... the cups we use for our tea parties... even little hands are careful with these. I can never remember them being used when I was growing up... they spent their time in the china cabinet so, when the grandkids got older we started our tea party tradition... way back in about 2000... when Desi was about 6.
