A Word of Caution

I know many of you like to distress your photos by sanding the edges... me too! However... I never really thought about where all that sanding 'dust' goes because I usually only do a few at a time. A couple of nights ago I really got into it while working on a mini album and sanded about 100 photos... yes... the mini album has gotten FAT... ! As the night went on I was noticing how stuffed up I'd gotten and even though I have a cold, it was pretty bad and it seemed all of a sudden ... and my chest was congested too. I didn't really pay attention but the next morning when I went to brush my teeth... I noticed my teeth were kind of dark... thinking I'd better cut down on the coffee and late nights, I brushed and spit... and out came UGLY LOOKING BLACK STUFF... I took a look in my mouth and my tongue was absolutely black...! Freaked out I brushed it and brushed and brushed... then drank water and other fluids like crazy... I also made myself cough and kept blowing my nose. Today... two days later... I am finally cleared out with just a little bit of a stuffy nose from the cold.

Last night I wore a mask and from now on I will do that... who knows what's in all that photo stuff... it can't be good to breathe in... I don't want to have a craft I really enjoy be what puts me in the ground!!

Wowsers Lois! Who would have thought! Thanks for the tip! And also, I can't imagine what all that "dust" must do to your nighties!!

I've thought about that too, and usually don't do much sanding at one time. I have a word album that needs to be sanded and I'm waiting for a breezy day outside to do it. Also, I usually hold things under the table and sand because I didn't want the dust up near me. I've thought about a mask, but thought I'd look ridiculous...maybe I'll pick a couple up.
