So... I was thinking...

that it was really about time to update the ensuite and redo the shower area and the floor and have it tiled. So, off we went to choose tile and get an estimate for the work and while we were at it we picked out carpet for a bedroom we have to strip the wallpaper off of and paint. Well.. now that I am actually tearing the ensuite apart while Bruce is at work I am thinking maybe the bedroom can wait!! After chipping the tile off of around the sink area and trying to unscrew the cabinet from the wall so I can get it out I realize that I am a weak, weak woman!!! Nothing a sledge hammer can't fix but still, my arms feel like rubber tonight and I still have to rip two little walls down from the front of the shower and get all the plastic surround off as well as tear off wallboard and drywall that is underneath! (Jo, don't you feel better now?) The room is really small and I will have to take the toilet out to get the counter unit out of the door since I just can't get the top off!

I pulled and pulled and then found one more screw to undo... under the shelf and it is not an easy one to get... will have to use a drill to unscrew it cause it is hard to get it going. The tendonitis in my hand is not helping!

Yes, I am embarassed to say... I did the tiling on this counter...never do white tiles, it never looks clean, in fact get someone else to do it right too!

This is painted cedar strips that were on the small walls at the shower entry... I think I used a pound of nails when I did it years and years ago....thinking, of course that it was going to stay there forever!
