And Back to the Scrappy Stuff!

I took a little break from tearing apart the bathroom and went to Colleen's http://www.dragonflyscrapbooking.com/home.html tonight to work on our Basic Grey layout kits... oh my gosh, I am so glad I signed up for them, they are wonderful... and she showed me the next two kits and let me say... if you can get your hands on them you will be soooo happy! Anyway, this post is not one of those... I have been doing a crop every week at another site... we are scrapping the old stuff and here is mine for this week.

I used some 7 gypsies paper: Tangiers and Left Bank that I'd been hoarding for quite awhile. The branches are Maya Road and covered in Tangiers. Then I found some small white flowers and to my great delight I found some teeny white buttons that my mother had bought to make Barbie clothes when I was about 12... so they are really old! The bigger flower is really two totally different flowers that I put together after dumping out my whole stash of flowers and trying to get something I liked put together... then I added an old fashioned copper pin and a copper heart brad - then tied a piece of old lace to the pin. The tag that I inserted behind one of the photos has journaling on it to tell who all these people are... it is 'buttoned' and old string is used and tied and then an old pin is used to simulate it being pinned to the paper. I sanded the edges of the photos to age them a little.
