Wow... January 2009 already!
Where has the year gone? It is amazing how time goes so fast when you are on the downhill slide... ha ha ha! Here's another photo to take a guess at... good luck!

Looks like an outdoor plant that received it's annual haircut before the snow fell.
definitely has snow on it, some kind of brush?
looks pretty even ... so i am going to say its an old cornbroom with snow on it. (but i secretly think Cyndi is totally right)
It could be one of those "mud remover" thingys kept by the back door???? Sometimes they come in the shape of animals. You brush off the mud/sand etc. before entering the house. kwim?
