My first thought was the bars on a cage at the Woodland Zoo you visited but looking closer I'll say that it's a closeup of an old heat register maybe with some lint in it?

Ya, it looks like some kind of metal slats or something but curved. I have no idea...this one is really hard.

Got me stumped! Looks like a wood wall or slat with thick metal bars or tines. Not a clue what it could be!
I'm thinking now that it's turned sideways. So, maybe an old wooden push mower?
