Wow... I had a whole post almost done and lost it trying to turn a photo around! First of all... the question should be... to sand or not to sand! I am a chipboard addict and love to cover it and sand off the edges before using it in layouts or mini albums.. or even cards. There are benefits... yes, benefits to sanding! First there is Patience... you need lots of it especially if you are sanding small pieces like the numbers in the layout below! When you've conquered that baby you will begin to see that sanding brings Peace... and Thought. I have painted the house, solved the problems of the world (well, okay, maybe the ones surrounding this family) and washed the kitchen down... all while bent over a garbage can sanding chipboard!

Now... this brings on another interesting little item... to buy the sticky backed chipboard or not! I say NOT! See this photo below.. this is not a photo of 3 pieces of chipboard! No... this is a photo of 1. the backing paper... 2. the glue that fell off... and 3. the chipboard that I had to glue on anyway!! Which brings me to another little tip... even if your chipboard is still sticky... glue, glue, glue it on. I use Scotch quick dry glue, it works like a charm.

I've learned to GLUE chipboard too!!! I've got layouts sitting around now with some of the letters missing because they "popped" off and I couldn't find the letters again. So, I have to decide, do I change the title, or just throw out the layout??? I find that NONE of the chipboard sticks! You might THINK it's sticking at the time but when you look at the LO a few months later in your album, the letters are all at the bottom of the page protector!
Great tip! Loved your post too Lois. TYFS!
